 What are sleep Disorders? Sleep disorders are a collection of conditions that impair the capacity to sleep well on a regular basis. They are distinguished by disruptions in the quantity, quality, or timing of sleep, which can cause difficulties functioning during the day. Types of sleep Disorders: 1. Insomnia  Difficulty falling or staying asleep. It can be acute or chronic, and is frequently associated with stress, worry, depression, or poor sleep patterns. 2. Sleep Apnea sleep apnea is characterised by pauses in breathing or short breaths while sleeping. Obstructive sleep apnea is caused by obstructed airflow, while central sleep apnea occurs when the brain fails to transmit correct signals to the muscles that govern breathing. 3. Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS) is an uncontrollable urge to move the legs, usually owing to discomfort or tingling sensations.
